To get started, decide on the type of photo booth that you want (simple, theme related, etc). Then start gathering your materials!

What You Will Need:

  • Wood/Cardboard
  • Fabric for backdrop (Curtains are great!)
  • Props (Frames, chairs, tables, flowers, silly props, etc.)
  • Camera(s)
  • Memory Stick(s)
  • Tripod
  • Printer (optional)
  • Extra lighting (optional)
Adding a photo booth to your reception will be sure to leave an everlasting impression on your guests. You can even use this opportunity to make these photos a keepsake for the guests-just have a printer at hand so that guests can print out their photos.

Check out these various wedding photo booth styles:

1.Wood With Frame Cutouts

This is one of the more ambitious DIY wedding photo booths. To get this look, create cut outs in a wood or cardboard frame, add a festive backdrop with either fabric or wallpaper, and finish the look with framed photos of family. This itself is a large interactive prop that will keep guests occupied and entertained.

2. Outdoor Curtain

This is a simple, inexpensive, yet chic way of incorporating natural elements into the photo station. To enhance the look, props such as furniture (tables, sofas/chairs, picture frames, etc.) can be added. Since the natural light will change throughout the evening, each of your photos will have a unique look.
